Famous Relatives list
I have just looked at my "Famous Relatives" list on your website.
My research doesn't go back far enough to confirm any of them but most of them are
very obviously wrong just by looking at the dates the ancestors were alive!
I have 12 "matches" at least 8 of them are fairly definitely wrong another 3 are unlikely
and the last one I am not sure about! Just because someone has the same name it does not make them the same person, especially if those 2 people were alive at different dates!
Best wishes

Welcome to the "Community.FamilySearch" Forum.
I am just another 'lowly' User/Patron ...
Just in passing ...
Strange ...
Unlike your experience, with the "Famous Relatives", in the "Activities", of 'FamilySearch' ...
Mine experience, is TOTALLY the opposite ...
I have, some x622, individuals/person, listed as "Famous Relatives" ...
And, I have confirmed, that ALL x622 are CORRRECT, in that, I AM "Related" to them ...
So ...
That Said ...
Unlike you ...
I certainly CANNOT fault, that "Famous Relatives", in the "Activities", of 'FamilySearch'.
Just my thoughts.

ps: And, by the way, I am NOT from "North American" ...

I'm not sure what you mean by "most of them are very obviously wrong just by looking at the dates the ancestors were alive!" Can you give an example?
Keep in mind this sheet of famous relatives are not ancestors. Almost all of them are going to be some type of cousin so some of them can easily be the age of your parents or grandparents. Most of the ones I see are 10th to 12th cousins of some remove. Also, this page is strictly defined by what is in Family Tree and what is in Family Tree is determined by us users.
If you want to have that page completely correct, then it is up to you, and other users of Family Tree, to check each generational link back and forward between you and the people on this page.
Otherwise, just view it as a fun and interesting piece of fluff. If you are not related to this people exactly as shown, you are probably related to them in some other way via someone in the 1500s in Europe.
