Marriage Banns UK, England, Diocese of Blackburn—Church of England Parish Registers,
I am reviewing, UK, England, Diocese of Blackburn—Church of England Parish Registers. Some people are putting one of the 3 dates on the document (some choose first & some choose Last). The dates are "1st on Sunday" which are a published date. Other people are just putting the year.
The projects instructions are not exactly clear and no examples show these types of sheets. Should they index published dates or just the year which is shown at the top of the document?

Check the field helps, the field help for date on marriages states:
Index the date that the marriage actually took place. If the actual marriage date was not recorded, index the marriage date based on the following priority:
- Certificate date
- License date
- Application date
- Return date
- Latest (usually 3rd) banns date
- Date the marriage record was signed
If the day was not recorded or was written as a variation of the word "unknown," press Ctrl+Bto mark this field blank.
Hope this helps
