Jane Purdy and her father, Francis Purdy
I'm hoping someone can help me determine if these two people are the same individual.
I have two people named Jane Purdy. One is Jane Purdy GDHM-8PX, the daughter of Francis Purdy 2MRF-X66. They lived in Fishkill, Dutchess County, New York.
The other Jane is Jane A. Purdy, MD55-R9W, wife of Pifer Washington Case LWLB-5X9. If you look at the sources for Jane A. you will see a link to a record of her death, wherein it states that she was the daughter of Francis Purdy. The Cases and the Purdys married many cousins so it would not surprise me if these two Janes are the same person. The birth dates are pretty close. However, I can't find a marriage record for Pifer and Jane A., or anything that indicates Jane A.'s mother's name.
I'm not sure where to go from here. I've tried searching the church records that are mentioned in the death record for Jane A., but it looks like she wasn't married in that church. Many of the Case children's baptisms are listed in this record, but not Pifers.
I'd be grateful for any help anyone can give me. Many thanks.

I agree there is not enough evidence yet to merge these two profiles. My advice would be to search less and focus more on building the family trees around both profiles. In the process you are likely to locate more historical records that may clarify the situation beyond a reasonable doubt.
Family Tree has 45 person IDs of women named Jame, surname like Purdy, born in New York between 1800 and 1820. In addition, Family Search has many historical records matching these search criteria that are not yet attached to person IDs.

Thank you. I'll continue to work around these individuals. Very often, I've discovered just the info I needed by doing that. Great suggestion!
