How do I enter an apostrophe in a surname if a field will not let me?

Apparently the apostrophes don't matter to the project, so you will have to enter ONeill.

@Esplin, DeLoy Heaton
here are the instructions on how to index names for this project. I hope this helps and thank you for indexing.
- Type names and place-names as they were written. Do not correct misspellings or expand abbreviations.
- In web indexing, you can include punctuation when typing names and place-names; however, including punctuation is not required.
- Do not assume a surname for one person from the surname of another person mentioned in the document.
- Names may have been written in more than one place. Type the most complete version of the name in the data entry area as it was written on the document.
- Include all aliases, nicknames, or variant names or surnames that were given for a person, separating them with the word Or .
- Do not include titles or terms, such as "Mrs" or "Jr," in name fields.
- If you are not sure whether a name is a given name or a surname, type the complete name in the Given Names field.
- When typing a name that has an apostrophe, such as "O'Connor," do not include a space before or after the apostrophe.

The surname field will not let me enter the apostrophe. You did not answer my question.

@Esplin, DeLoy Heaton Just index the name without the apostrophe as ONeill.
