What if there has been something added to my tree that I do not believe is correct?
What do you do if someone has added something to your tree that you believe is not correct? Can that be deleted?
Thank you for posting your concern here in the community.
Yes you can correct errors that others have made to the tree. It is suggested that you contact the other user who has made the incorrect connection in the and explain why you feel that it is not correct and explain what you are doing. We have included some articles that may help in your efforts to make the necessary corrections.
We hope that this information will prove helpful to you and wish you continued success in your family history efforts.
While you cannot delete what someone else has added you can correct the entry, It would be a good idea to contact the person who made the entry and ask for their sources if they have not already given them. you can then make your correction using sources to verify your correct.
If an incorrect child or spouse has been added you can delete the incorrect relationship
