FamilySearch not updating my indexing totals

The same thing is happening to me. It's been going on for a week. :(

Does anyone else have problem with indexing and reviewing totals being inaccurate? I find that from time to time the system doesn't record the results at all. I had 3 batches in a row that weren't recorded just now. I submitted a request for action months ago without any success. Now it looks like they don't even take complaints. I love reviewing and do about 100 records per day but it is hard to keep track of progress when the system doesn't work.

What Id say, as well as alot of the people on here would say, wait awhile and check back later to see if FamilySearch is just taking awhile to sync.
I had a similar situation. I also work to do 100 per day. As the batches are usually unequal, I turn up with a little over 100 per day. Last month my totals came short by about 250 or so, which made me confused.
However for me personally, I know that what ive indexed/reviewed counts to those individuals and their living descendents. So even if Family Search never gets up to date on it, It still matters and makes a difference. I know its a little dissapointing to not have them in your totals but dont give up!

Sometimes when I do a batch my indexing total goes up, but quite often it doesn't go up at all. What's going on? I thought it might take a few days to show up, but that hasn't been the case.

It never syncs. I'm certainly not giving up but I would hope that if they have a feature to count the number completed, it would work - all the time.

These totals take often take awhile for them to populate. The system has to send the data multiple places and update various databases before it is posted on the personal Indexing page. This is an ongoing issue that we hope will be fixed, but it will take some time for the engineers. We thank you for your patience and encourage you to continue to index and review these records to help make these important records available for others to use.

I have the same issue occasionally. Sometime it updates my counts; sometimes it does not.
I was not really sure it was not counting until a did a batch with over 100 records, and it was clear that the totals did not increase. I have recently started keeping my own record to check on the 'official' count. Now I will know which batches are not counted, and how far behind it is getting. Since I started checking, it has missed one out of seven batches. Now I wonder how many have been missed in the past.
It is not a game changer for me, but it is a little disappointing to not see the total increase after completing a batch😓. There may be some indexers who would give up if their contribution is not recorded. I do hope that this little problem gets fixed.

Same problem here and it's been happening for quite a while. It gets frustrating when you have a goal to meet. Many of the records are very hard to read and it takes quite a while to ensure it's correct. We have folks here that say the same thing ... "If the count is not being updated, is my work even being recorded, why do it at all". To them, it's not a small problem, it's validating their efforts.

Me too. The last two batches (82 and 62 names) didn't update. I am the only one in my Ward indexing and am supposed to lead a hands-on class for new indexers this Saturday. I won't be able to recruit anyone else while this problem is going on and the statistics for indexing for our Ward won't reflect the true activity. Where do we even get technical help or tell someone who can fix it?

Hi guys. This issue has been passed on to the appropriate team. I also merged three discussions that were all about this topic. Maile 🙂
