Why are not the baptism and confirmation for my brother (Ronald Melvin Keith Kurtz) listed in Family
Why does it says that my brother (Ronald Melvin Keith Kurtz) has not been baptized and confirmed? His membership number is ... He was born on Nov 25, 1958 and he died on April 28, 2020. He was baptized on March 6, 1971 and confirmed on the same day. We were baptized and confirmed on the same day. In the Branch membership records is does shows that he has been baptized and confirmed.

Hi Richard
Thanks for posting your question here on the Family Search Community. When a member of the church dies, the ward/branch clerk should record that on the membership record which in turn feeds into family search and shows any completed ordinances. In some cases, the death is not recorded by the clerk. At this point, we need to have proof of death which could be a obituary, funeral program, death certificate etc. Once we have that, we can have the death recorded on his membership record. If you know the ward/branch clerk where you brother resided, you could have him record the death. Alternatively, you can either attached a proof of death to his record as a memory or source or send in a copy. We are sending you a private message where you can let us know what you have done. You can find our private message by clicking on the bell icon at the upper right. Once we have proof of death, it will be forwarded and added to your brother's membership record. Let us know if you have further questions or comments.
