Just wondering what would happen to a group if the Administrator/Creator dies, seems like there needs to be a second or backup Administrator.

I am just a 'lowly' User/Patron ...
[ And, I happen to be a Member of the Church ... ]
Short Answer: A "Family Group" CAN have up to a MAXIMUM of THREE (x3) "Administrators".
That Said ...
A "Family Group", MUST (and, CAN "Only"), be "Setup", by ONE User/Patron, to START with.
Once a "Family Group" is Setup, the User/Patron who setup that group, CAN assign two (x2) OTHER "Administrators".
As appears, in a "Knowledge Article", in 'FamilySearch':
A family group can have up to 3 administrators. The person who creates a group is automatically its first administrator. Administrators give administration rights to other group members.
Group administrators can do the following:
It is a good idea for a group to have more than one administrator, who can serve as a backup administrator if needed.
Here are some "Knowledge Articles", in 'FamilySearch':
I hope this helps/assists.
Thanks Brett, FYI I did try to search and looked through all the questions, or so I thought, alas maybe I need to learn to search better.
I am just glad, I was able to help/assist.
Plus, those "Knowledge Articles" are all NEW ... 'hot of the press' ...
Believe me ...
IF, you are referring to searching in the "Help Centre", of 'FamilySearch'; THEN, such can be quite difficult.
[ Even, if one, is quite experienced ... I still have problems/issues, finding the most simple things, sometimes. ]
I now often find, it easier to do an INTERNET (eg. 'Google') search, to initially locate what I am looking for.
