RE contributors
I recently received a message from Familysearch picturing a tree with a list of those who had contributed most and to send thanks to them.
I was rather surprised to see that my 60 years of thorough research involving costs, certificates from various countries, private researchers etc, that I was not listed as the person with most contributions. Instead, the person who had contributed the most was a then son-in-law who had done none of my research, nor temple work, but had simply copied all the data I had given to my daughter- on PAF and CD rom. His name appears only because he loaded the data, not due to any effort from him.
I have been very generous with all of my research over the years and have shared with many cousins etc. Perhaps the idea of sending thanks with a list for names can be rearranged so that credit is not given when it is not due.

You are correct. This scenario may overlook 'giants upon whose shoulders we have built.'

As @genthusiast points out, in all Family Tree work, all genealogy, all research, we all stand on the shoulders of all those who came before us. I am especially grateful to the vast numbers of clerks in villages and parish churches who for centuries painstakingly recorded by hand the lives of all the residents, and kept the record books safe.
What I would like to see is a report that looks at all the person IDs I have edited in the past year, and tells me which other contributors have edited the most of those same PIDs. And how many PIDs they edited.
In 2021 so far my contributions count is over 70,000. That is only new PIDs made and sources attached. Most of my time here is devoted to merging, splitting, and other tasks not counted in stats. So naturally my edits on tens or hundreds of thousands of PIDs are mixed in with the edits of thousands of other contributors. Who overlaps with me the most?
A report could say how many PIDs I edited in total, how many other contributors edited those same PIDs, etc.

Sure, I could roll my own summary reports. A solution available to all would be better, though. Or at least a downloadable spreadsheet. Like the reporting tools on Wikipedia. Printed to a PDF, My Changes so far this month run to over 300 pages of names, not showing changes.
The Following list has become more useful over time but with my volume of work there is no way I can watch all PIDs I edit, nor do I want to watch them. I cannot even use the list to attach the heads of all tree fragments I work on; too many of those! I reserve it for PIDs I know to be conflated or especially difficult for some other reason.
