This is more of a comment than a question - the new search feature is awful. Why change what was working? I try to search only for death records and I get tax records = pages of them , before I see any death records. Please go back to the old system. 🙏 I used to find most of what I was looking for on FamilySearch instead of Ancestry. I can no longer say that. The new system is very frustrating!!!

    @Sandy Jeffrey

    You need to be especially careful now to search on "Type" ("Death" in this instance). If you look at the trial search I made, via the link below, you will see I was returned with 132 results - every one relating to a death or burial. In other instances, a search on "Collection" can considerably narrow down the results to those more in line with previous expectations.

    See https://www.familysearch.org/search/record/results?count=20&exactSearching=true&f.recordType=2&offset=120&q.deathLikeDate.from=1850&q.deathLikeDate.to=1855&q.deathLikePlace=yorkshire&q.deathLikePlace.exact=on&q.givenName=william&q.givenName.exact=on&q.surname=brown&q.surname.exact=on

    (Scroll down the column on the right side of the page to note my search inputs)
