US, Massachusetts—Boston Tax Records, 1822–1918 [Part H] [M3D3-69J]-Is is done right?
Good evening,
During reviewing I found that after # 18 indexers started doing the right part of the page with the owners' names. I reread the project instruction and make the last part of the batch "blank" and deleted it.
Before submitting the batch I decided to check if it was right or not? Please, reply me ASAP.
Thank you!

Hi @larisaveselova . I don't typically work on these records, but here is my take on this batch.
I see only 11 names that should be indexed - all from the left side of the ledger. None of the names on the right side under Owners should be indexed - just as you thought - see the second paragraph below at (a). But one set of names on the left side right after John McClure should not be indexed. Gustavus Jackson and his partners Mandel and Daniel form a Co (Company) - a Dry Goods company, so they should not be indexed. See the second paragraph below at (b).
Here are the only names I think should be indexed: (1) John C Hewins, (2) Henry F Howe (I believe that notation says "Green St." not Dr. Green), (3) Elwyn R Perry, (4) Samuel J Capen, (5) John McClure, (6) William H Maxcey, (7) S J Capen (could be Samuel J Capen, but see the first paragraph below at (c)), (8) Benjamin Capen, (9) Albert Dexter, (10) James Houghten (don't index Jr - no Suffix field), and (1) John Lows.
All the rest of those entries should be deleted or corrected. You can delete any entries that are completely blank by using the trashcan icon in the middle of the horizontal toolbar using the option "all blank entries" and clicking "Delete." You can also delete individual entries using that tool. If you need to add entries, use the Plus Sign (+) tool to the left of the trashcan.
From What to Remember About This Project
- Index each unique name. Some names may be duplicated. When names are exact duplicates, index only the first instance of the name listed. Skip the other exact duplicates and then index the next unique name. (c) When the middle initials or the given names or surnames are spelled differently, please index these unique names.
- Index all names except those listed in the "Owner" or "Remarks" columns, or (b) names of companies or trusts. Often, names of owners appear on the right side of the image; (a) these names should not be indexed.
