How could such a mistake repeatedly been made?
I have done so much work for my family, often using the dates and information on Family Search as gospel. I come from a family, where I am number 11 of 12 children, but the only one left, not having any children, or family members that are interested in family history at all. My youngest sister (#12) has never had a headstone, so since I am the only sibling left, my husband and I are in the process of buying her one. It has been ordered, and the final draft approved, listing her birthdate as Oct. 15 and her death as Jan.1. I happened to be looking at some of the sources on our Family Tree just recently, and noticed where my sister's burial date was listed as Jan. 24th. Wow, that really surprised me, making me wonder, why would they wait that long to bury her? Then I found a copy of her death certificate, which states that she died on Jan. 22nd and was buried on the 24th, far from Oct.1. I was literally sick to my stomach, wondering what am I going to do now, with a headstone that says death on Oct 1st. Needless to say, I spent the weekend praying, after a fired off an email to the monument place, knowing that if it was finished, there was nothing that I could do. Thank goodness, our Heavenly Father, does love us, and knew how important that this was to me. It turns out that they hadn't sandblasted it yet, so was able to change the dates, without any problems. Please, always check your information, and make sure it is as correct as possible. Darlene Pierce

Good Morning Darlene.
I am so sorry that you had to go through so much pain and suffering over your deceased records. I also am one of 10, having lost six of my relatives. Having nearly completed all their ordinances with the help of my cousin in Arizona. Praying to our beloved Heavenly Father truly works. I lost my beloved wife last year, so I know what pain you are going through.
FamilySearch is a big world wide family and we are here to help each other, thank you for yor beautiful message.
