Is anyone having problems with the autocorrect feature in indexing?
I'm working on the Muster Roll and Catskills Land Records batches, and both are driving me nuts with autocorrect. For example, I'll type "James A" but it inputs "James Arthur" because an "Arthur" was indexed previously and so it assumes I want "James Arthur" because I typed an "A." This happens even when I put a space after the "A." It's even doing it with other fields!
Both of these batches have a lot of entries--and I have to go back and check every single entry like I was a reviewer to ensure the entry is as I typed and meant it to be. I also cleared the Chrome browsing data but it's still happening. H-E-L-P!!!

There are keyboard shortcuts to accept/reject the suggestions.
From Help(menu)> keyboard shortcuts:
Enter and Tab are the biggest differences:
- Enter accepts the highlighted auto-suggest value, if one exists, and advances to the next field.
- Tab keeps only what you typed and ignores the auto-suggested values and advances to the next field.
- Right Arrow accepts the auto-suggested value and keeps you on the same field so you can keep typing. Auto-suggest continues to make suggestions as you type.

You can turn autocorrect off while you indexing if you want to. I found this information in the help center.

In the settings for a batch, you can specify what fields the autocomplete, or autofill, feature applies to.
Steps
- On an open batch, click Batch in the upper left corner.
- Click Settings.
- Click Auto Complete.
- Select the option that you want:
- Keep project defaults
- Turn ON for all fields
- Turn OFF for all fields
- Click Apply.
Note: On rare occasions your browser's autocomplete feature may interfere with data entry. If you have turned off autocomplete in web indexing and still experience problems, try turning off the autocomplete or autofill feature in your browser.
