Training for first time users of FamilySearch
Many of those who use FamilySearch for the first time have a hard time understanding where to go, what to do and how to use many of the features that are available to them in FamilySearch. If we could set up a system similar to the "Free Research Consultations" and have first time guests slot in a time for "Free Training on how to use FamilySearch" when a missionary could give them one on one training to use specific parts of FamilySearch. Help in specific parts such as FamilyTree or Indexing, Historical Records, and even Family History Center help. One on one might actually decrease many of the challenges that FamilySearch users have. I know we are trying to provide some of those services already by using phone and chats but I am talking about first time users. Let's give them a great start!

For anybody starting for the first time, my advice would be to find a friend who knows what they're doing. If you don't have such a friend, then see if you have a local family history group or society. If you don't have a local group or society, try starting one and attracting knowledgeable members. Ask if you can put a notice in your library. It doesn't have to be formal, just a tea and biscuits event. Your efforts could not only help you, you might help many more just like you.
