If the "drop down" link is not active, it might be a shared batch that you were looking at for someone else.
If that is not the case, then I would exit the program, retrieve the batch and start again. Also, try a different batch and see if it works there. If not, let "us" know and share a batch that isn't working. There may be something else going on!

Thank you. Logged out, closed the website and then reentered. Still unable to add an entry. Have returned the batch uncompleted. Thanks again!

@JonesPW sorry to hear that didn't work. Perhaps your computer needs a little cleaning. I would now try to clear the FamilySearch cookies and temporary files your browser history. You may want to completely clear your browser history following the instructions for your device. Also make sure the operating system you are using is compatible with FamilySearch. Here is some reading material that may help. If that doesn't work, you probably should Contact Support in your area.
