Indexing Issue
Yes. I've seen the Labs. No I don't use it. I do not send anything back for re-indexing.
Report for FS personnel only.
Philippines, Camarines Sur, Caceres—Registros Parroquiales, 1716–1977 [Parte B] [MMZN-DZC]
Why does a person go to this extent to invent bogus stuff to put in the data form? Image has 10 marriage records. Indexer put 7 in and made silly attempts to put a parish in. Otherwise, they invented bogus names to put in for the spouses and parents. If they weren't malicious, they wouldn't work so hard to be incorrect.
After completing the batch, I'm changing my estimation of the indexer. I'm betting they're a teenager with limited knowledge of Spanish. They got a few pieces of data right in the first few records but were grabbing many names from the wrong places. Later on, they gave up and just started putting names from all over the page in any place that needed a name. They are not malicious but totally clueless on indexing and need a lot of training before they're let loose on a tough project like this.

We don't make assumptions in indexing. We certainly shouldn't make assumptions about who might be indexing, their gender, or their age. I think Your estimations could be counter productive to anyone here who is a beginning indexer and it is disheartening. These people could also be trying their best and simply don't know how to index.
I hope that anyone who reads this knows that most of us doing reviews simply correct the work, return the batches for re-indexing, or fill out a form that familysearch can use to get help to the indexers and reviewers who need it! What I really hope is that someone in a position of authority would pay some attention to these posts and advise what is happening with the indexer(s)/reviewer(s) that Jerry is reporting in the community. They do appear to need help, or if they are malicious or abusive, need to be stopped.
I'm going to tag @CindyPrice since she is the one who suggested that: "If reported on the community a moderator will advise you that the issue has been reported." I haven't seen any evidence these are being reported or that the moderators are even acknowledging the posts.

Hello Jerry
Thank you for reporting this issue, when you are reporting a batch please hold the batch for about 2 days so we can take a look at it also.
Rememeber the 20%, if you are making corrections above this, the project goes to a second reviewer.
We see your postings on another batches of same project, you may want to post your findings together.
We understand it is a bit unpleasant to find many mistakes while reviewing batches but that it what makes reviewing rewarding. We are grateful for your work. We love these Philipines records.
Please be aware that wrongly indexed batches do not need to be reported, only the maliciously indexed batches.
Thank you all for your help and contribution to this community.

Somebody else said we don't need to hold reported batches.
The initial report was because it looked like malice. I changed my mind after completing the batch. The individual still needs a lot of help; just not a hand-slap.
Posting on bad batches are strung out because the reviewing is strung out.
