@dontiknowyou Your recent observation about Ancestry.com trees hit upon one of the reasons that I cannot put faith in the organization. I laud your comment and following that up closely is that Ancestry.com seems to be a conglomeration of data, some facts, some untrue statements, all seemingly obtained from other sources. Ancestry appears to be in business for its own aggrandizement (the almighty dollar) as all businesses are. But its so obvious. Sources from elsewhere, accumulated in one place, being charged a fee to view. As is their DNA data. They will not provide DNA info, but only compare your DNA to others' who used their service. A complete waste of time and effort and money. Compare that to FTDNA. Thank you for your inputs.
FamilySearch is not perfect, is diluted by persons uneducated about its intricacies and guidelines, but is the best it can be based on the sheer volume of data contained within that mountain and that it was created by humans. Many users should not be users, but I am grateful for the opportunity to have it as a tool. Thank you Church of Latter Day Saints.

Everyone is a beginner to start, but at least on Family Tree the potential to learn best practices from others, many others, is enormous.
