Reason Box Option in Indexing
Could we get a reason Box Option to be able to problem notes to reviews for indexed records? Indexers want to be able to put notes about items they have researched and know an item has been indexed correctly. Especially when handwriting is difficult to read and you do all the research and find the person in tree and then the information is changed in review because the reviewer see something different than you but you already did the research and know it is correct.

I give TEN thumbs up for this suggestion. I have studied paleography a ton and can read archaic writing better than the average indexer. I'm not bragging, lol, but am using that as the reason why there are times I KNOW I indexed something right, and the reviewer changed it to something wrong, because it looks like what they say it is. But, if you are looking at Secretary Hand, for instance, the letters are not reflective of our current alphabet, so a lot of things are indexed and reviewed incorrectly.
I love your suggestion! I think we should be able to give a reason as an indexer for a known name, a researched place, etc. Thank you for this suggestion!

I up-voted this suggestion and hope others will too I'm for any form of communication between Indexers and Reviewers of their work. I would like to see it go in both directions.

Indexers and reviewers/arbitrators have been begging for a means of communication with each other pretty much since the beginning of time. Yes, it goes back well into the time of the two-indexers-plus-arbitrator model.
For the indexer-to-reviewer direction, I think it can be just a simple optional text box, like the one on index corrections (minus that one's weird restrictions on punctuation). Heck, a single text box per image would probably work, as long as it was large enough (either a very large or unlimited character count).
