Photos/Documents - attached to wrong person/ID

I have no idea how a number of my photos & documents got attached to a person, I do not have a relationship with, I am worried if I delete from this person, it will delete from the ancestors I originally attached them to, can someone point me in the right direction please, I did press Archive - but nothing happened?
