Marriage year.

I was indexing a document that listed the marriage year as 1678. When I tried to submit it, it was denied because the marriage year was not 1756 or later. Is there anyway to submit this document without deleting this entry or falsifying the information?

    Hello Theresa,

I would like to see the document and help you figure out where the problem is, as you said you have tried to submit it, but it was denied.

You may want to take a look at the project instructions on What to Index: If you document is a marriage : what kind of marriage document is the one you were given and it can be indexed? it is like a marriage certificates, marriage bonds, registers, consent forms, marriage applications, marriage bonds, affidavits, marriage license indexes etc.

Please post the share batch code or link of the batch. Thank you for helping us to index these records!!.

Is this your batch? US, Missouri—County Marriages, 1806–1969 [Part L][M947-GFC]

If so, it should be marked as No, No Extractable Data since it is a history not a marriage.

These family histories do have a lot of information but they are not original documents of marriages.

Thank you for asking to clarify!
