Cannot Merge or Delete a Private Space Individual
I have already used the "contact us" link for technical support on this issue and was provided an article which didn't provide a solution. The response referred me to the community feature for future assistance. I've reviewed some threads with similar issues, but I think there may be a unique problem here that requires some administrator intervention.
Sigrid Bernhardsen (L24Q-GQ7) somehow is in my Family search private space but I don't have the ability to delete or merge with her duplicate that is in public space, Sigrid Bernhardsen (L279-NW2). Death dates have been entered on both the public and private records. Please help to delete the private space individual or merge with the public.

Dear Kurt,
Thank you for contacting FamilySearch and bringing your concern to our attention. The record for Sigrid Bernhardsen L24Q-GQ7 is now public and you may merge the two records if you find them to be duplicates.
Kind regards,

Right, L24Q-GQ7 is not showing in the Public space and the system will not let you merge it with L279-NW2 until L24Q-GQ7 is marked deceased in your Private space. But you did enter the DOD for L24Q-GQ7 and you cannot do that unless the Button was changed from Living to Deceased. Then a suppose you pressed the Save button? I can't see how L24Q-GQ7 is still in your Living? Maybe check to see if the DOD got standardized correctly?
You might check this Help Article, could maybe that PID fall into this exception to the general rule that allows a Deceased person to stay in your Living? But then why would the other PID show in the Deceased area? https://www.familysearch.org/help/helpcenter/article/deceased-people-in-my-family-tree-private-space
Really, I can't understand why tech support did not help you? Can a MOD get @Kurt Nygaard 's issue transferred to someone that can help?

@Kurt Nygaard , you might also try to go to the person in the Deceased area (L279-NW2) and then check "Merge by ID" then enter in the PID of the person in your Living space (L24Q-GQ7) and see it that will allow you to merge them.

I agree that a moderator should be able to assist here, by escalating to an administrator / section who can provide direct help with this issue.
However, I think it confusing for you to use the term "Living space" without any evidence this ID is marked as such. There have been a number of reports recently querying why deceased persons are appearing in users' private space sections, so a wider investigation of the issue is probably required, too.

@Chas Howell Thank you. L24Q-GQ7 is marked deceased with a death date entered. The banner near the top of the page does not say "Living" but says "Confidential." One possible reason this record seems to be locked may be that I changed the sex from "Unknown" to "Female" per source citations I attached. The merge by ID gives me an error that I can't merge private to public. And the delete is unavailable for the private, or I would just delete the record, as it is duplicate.

@Kurt Nygaard . It's possible changing sex from unknown to female caused a problem, but doubtful. The only way I know of to get the "Confidential" banner is for an Admin to mark the PID confidential. I really think an Admin needs to respond. Right @Paul W I should use Private and Public space terms since both Living and Deceased can reside in the Private space.
