Should I write the child's surname?-Barbados—Church Records, 1849–1891 [M3DJ-RPP]

Hi, In this batch there is no child's surname or his/her sex. The indexers sometimes wrote the child's surname according to mother's surname and sex according to the name...For me, in both cases it is better to mark the field as "blank."

Am I right or not?-Help me, please.

Thank you for sharing your batch. The Project Instruction example is the same as your image. They do not index a surname for the child, so you should mark it blank. You can pull up the project instructions anytime by clicking on the last icon in the toolbar, or the blue "project instructions" link at the bottom of the entry form.

This is a Review batch. The indexer did not index the entire right hand page missing 8 Baptisms. I would send this batch back for reindexing. If not, then you must enter the 8 records from the right page. When people miss these things, the names will not be searchable and possibly never found!
