How tocorrect obituary that erroneously includes another person? re Mary Mildred Prince K2HH-7HN.
This has to do with a obituary source under (my Aunt) Mary Mildred Prince K2HH-7HN, who married Brigham Wright in 1904.
Mary Mildred Prince Wright's obituary in the Lewiston Morning Tribune dated 16 December 1975 United States, GenealogyBank Historical Newspaper Obituaries, 1815-2011
erroneously includes Mrs. Amy S. Bowers, whose obituary was in that newspaper just prior to Mary Mildred Prince Wright. It is indexed incorrectly and the blue line outlining each obituary erroneously encircles Mrs. Amy S. Bowers, who is no relation to Mary Mildred Wright, was married to a Clarence W Bowers, who died in 1925. He and two children by wife Amy were attached erroneously to Mary Mildred.
The source listed under Mary Mildred Prince lists 'unfinished attachments' or if you are on a cell phone lists 'review attachments', and refers to Mrs. Amy S. Bowers listed as a principal and as the mother of her two children and the spouse of Clarence W Bowers. They both died the same day
The indexing of the obituary and/or the newspaper that makes the blue line around both obituaries needs to be corrected.
Thank you,
Sincerely,
Jeanette Prince May

She's my relative also. See private message.
This article describes how you report an error in a computer indexed obituary.

The instructions in the link provided do not make alterations to the incorrectly indexed obituary, nor do they explain what happens once a report is generated. Does anyone from FS go in and actually manually index the record once errors are reported? If so, how long does it take for changes to be made and does FS let you know when it is repaired?
I found an obituary that combines two men with similar names to read as one large obituary. I cannot attach the record to one of the men and it has created a messy merge of families and names that is not historically accurate.
Here is the link to the obituary: https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:QVYV-ZX2R and a report has been made.
It's made quite a mess in the tree, but I can't really do much to correct the entablement until the obituary is corrected to be two separate obituaries.
