This roster has one column of military personnel and a second column which appears to be family members of the persons. The names in the second column (family members) were not entered. Shouldn't these names also be included in the index?

Thanks,

Jim

In the instructions for the batch it says the following:

    • Index all military records, including muster rolls, monthly rosters, losses lists, transfers lists, and all other types of military records.
    • Do not index the name of the person preparing the record of monthly rolls and monthly rosters unless the person is also listed on the roster or roll itself.

With these instruction, I would not index any family members. it sounds like it was indexed correctly.
