What is going on?
Today while working on FamilySearch i was surprised when the location icon showing I had standardized a Florida place would not show. Are you doing away with the icons? Why are you changing so many of the ways we have been instructed to do? Last month I found that when I wanted to send in a case to fix something I was unable to do at my computer I couldn't find the place until I and another family consultant called Salt Lake and a kind elder walked us through sending it in "community" for whatever reason it was changed. I told you then we need help not complications. Please, please if this is some kind of game for y'all, please bear in mind that we are trying to clean up, stndardize, untangle these records and we really need you to help, not make it so we feel so fustrated . Please consider we humble workers that are not all that technological and stop fixing things that aren't broken. Please!

@RoseDenning We apologize for the frustrations you are feeling about the changes occurring in FamilySearch. The one thing that we are sure of is that there will be more changes to come.
With regards to your question about Standardized Places, please refer to the link provided below:
On the Family Tree person page (on the FamilySearch website), different icons appear next to the the names of places to indicate how and whether the place is standardized.
- Pin: The place is standardized. The user-entered text matches the standard.
- No pin: The place is standardized. The user-entered text is different, and the system selected a standard for the user.
- Red exclamation point: The place is not standardized.
The Community is now the place to ask and receive answers to your questions. The Community is still in the process of developing and we ask for your patience as it does.
