Hello:

I am reviewing Ontario tax records. At the top of the page for the year it says: "1896 for 1897". Which should be entered in the year field for indexing?

Here is info on my batch:

Image Name 008659982_00323 Batch ID M3ZT-43G

Thanks,

Ryan

    Hello Ryan,

We would follow the directions in General indexing guidelines for Indexing Dates. "If multiple dates were given for other events, type the most recent or latest date." The date of 1897 would be correct date for this batch.

Thank you for consulting us. We hope we have answered your question.
