I can't seem to find any beginning batches. I click to "find batches" and refine my search for beginning level in English and I'm told: "no projects found". I find that hard to believe.

    Hi Sarah,

Although there are no beginning batches at the moment, new ones are being added all the time. Keep checking back and I'm sure you'll find some soon.

Why not have a look at some of the intermediate batches, I find some of them are easier that the beginners batches. For examples United States—Enlisted and Officer Muster Rolls and Rosters, 1916–1939 [Part K][M3ZS-XDR] are typed records that need indexing, no handwriting to decipher.

Don't be afraid of downloading a batch and if you think it is too challenging you can return the batch for someone else to index.

Thank you for your indexing efforts. Every name indexed makes a difference.

There are not any beginning batches right now to index or review, but the "Enlisted & Officer muster rolls" could be considered easy as they are mostly all typed and are fairly straight forward. They are listed as intermediate. Be sure to read the project instructions before starting.

A week or so ago it said the same thing, no beginning projects found. I wondered if there was something I was missing. I'll look into some intermediate batches then. Thank you.

@sarahbrown3 There are RARELY Beginner batches. Any of the intermediate batches are nearly the same as beginner, although they might be in cursive. As long as you read the project instructions, review each of the examples, and read the field helps which are accessed by clicking on the purple question mark that appears when you click on a field, you should be okay. And if not, just ask questions here! The Missouri Nats are very well explained in the instructions and examples and very easy to complete!
