"US, Alaska--Death Record, 1898-2005" Death Certificates split between batches
Looks like some of the Death Certificates were printed front/back and should have been two-page images. However in the batch I got [M3M2-M59] of 6 single-page images, the first image is the back of the page (no front), which means my last image is only the front half (which I wouldn't have probably realized if not for image 1.
Can this batching be fixed?

The rule genthusiast gave is correct. This is a record that spans two images. So, the first image on this batch would be marked No, No Extractable Data (in Step 1) since it would have been indexed by the previous reviewer. Image 2 is indexed. Image 3 is marked No, No Extractable Data (NED). Image 4 is indexed, imaged 5 is marked NED. Image 6 is indexed and IF the reference image (+1) is the back of that death certificate, then you would index the required information (if there was a spouse, mother or father recorded - and it actually had the relationship stated). Images 3 and 5 in this batch do not have the spouse's name on them.
There could be another place to look for the spouse's name or a variation of their name on these too - it could be in the informant line with (wife/husband/spouse) after it, like we see (brother) on image 4.
Even if the previous indexer did not capture the wife's name from image 1, all NED records are reviewed by FamilySearch teams and it should be caught.

The general indexing guideline may apply since first and last records are split:
However, this batch doesn't have reference images so it will be good to get the moderator to reply for the last image. It would also be nice to know some other batch includes the front side of image 1.

Fortunately, the only field from the back page that looks like it needs to be indexed is the spouse's name, but it does create some confusion.
