Should be Murchison not Murdison

A family that lived in Alaska are listed as being Murdison, they were in fact Murchison. I don't know how to update or correct this. I discovered this because I 'thought' I'd discovered a Roderick Murdison in Alaska. I managed to contact an official and they discovered this error. Obviously I don't expect people just to believe me but I thought someone should know as it would help those researching Murchisons.

Thank you

    Hello, @Rod Murdison

Are you talking about the 1920 U.S. Census at Ketchikan, Alaska?

Yes, the record has been indexed as Murdison, instead of Murchison, for the families of Roderick and Herbert J. I can certainly see why, however. The handwriting is fairly good, but the "c" and the "h" are kind of scrunched together, making it look like a "d."

In this particular record you do have the option of editing the name, which is a good thing!

As you stated in your post -- it is very helpful to other researchers to post these corrections whenever possible.

Thanks, that's great - I'll do it for the whole Alaskan family.
