Indexing on an iPad

I am trying to type in “blank”. Instructions say to type cntrl+b. There is no control key on an iPad. Can I just type the word “blank”?

Please see this comment for a "Guide to the Web Indexing Horizontal Toolbar Icons."

Look at the 4th icon from the left. If you had a keyboard paired with your iPad, the Mac equivalents for the shortcuts would work (e.g., Cmd+b).

Mahalo, thanks figured it out after I sent the question. The icon with x blank for one item of the entry and the icon with x on black is to blank all items on an entry. Aside from just clicking on the icons, is there there a legend/for the icons telling what they stand for in the General instructions or....?

I am trying to set up printer-friendly view on my iPad. I can’t find the Tools Menu you refer me to.

There is no tools menu in indexing. just a toolbar and it looks like this.
