Impossible to search!
This new update is absolutely miserable! I can't find records that were easily found previously. I put a film number in and I get nothing but errors. It says the film is not indexed when I know it was. I have several records that I used to prove SAR applications. Unfortunately, I didn't source them in my tree, so I am going back to do that now. I have the link that takes me directly to the film, but now, I can't find the source information. If I do a plain search for the birth I get absolutely no hits.
Please fix it quickly! I can't find a thing now. Multiple family lines, multiple states. What a mess this is!

Just did a search for a marriage in England 1802-1820,245 pages of results (the same number for any search) totalling 39,270 entries.Do your IT people have any idea how long it would take to check each entry?
Give us back the old system which worked.

I agree -- what in all tarnation have you done now? I can't find anything!! Where did you put the passenger lists and the church books -- nada! Some IT whippersnapper thought he/she was going to have some fun? It ain't funny! But it is a big waste of time!!!

I agree - the "new" record search input screen is essentially useless. For instance - try to find records for family name "chapman" who lived in Nash Co NC around 1800. No results. Please go back to previous search input format.

Default Search> Records for Surname=Chapman, Place=Nash, North Carolina, Year=1800 returns:
13,161 Results - what seems to be the problem?
Furthermore, using filters for Nash County on these Results - displays 3 Results.
Does this help?

I'm having trouble getting anything. I think you need to put up a video showing how you look for records because all I get is a blank sheet the same goes for family tree which was working the other day but now it's a blank sheet too.

Once you do run the filters, and you're still stuck with a ton of results, you can't further finesse the search. The old sidebar worked perfectly. This is useless.

To finesse a search further (after using filters) you can change Search parameters in the Advanced Search panel (right-hand) or click on the filter 'buttons' to change any options (for filtering results differently). Perhaps give an example of your search and explain how you want to finesse results further?

There are no other panels or search filters available on the search results page that I see. The "preferences" widget does not work.

Hello Jim,
Thank you for connecting with me. My problem is that I cannot access IGI Batch numbers. I have used them for years but as of a couple of months ago I can get to the Batch numbers but they continually say, "no results found".
I have had Zoom meetings with three of your consultants but none of them can solve my problem. The last one, last evening, could get the results from the Batch numbers I gave to her but I couldn't. She shared her screen with me and I shared mine with her but we could not come up with a solution.
Have you changed your system in the last few months that would prevent the Batch Files from opening for me. I wonder how many other folks are having the same problem as I have.
I'd be happy to Zoom with you so that I could show you how I have accessed Batch Numbers in the past then you could tell me how I have to searches differently.
I'd be happy to hear from you. Hava great day.
