    Welcome to the "Community.FamilySearch" Forum.

    I am just another 'lowly' User/Patron ...

    FYI

"Relationship Viewing", can be "Enabled", in one's "Settings", under the "Permissions" 'Tab', in 'FamilySearch'.

"Relationship Viewing", can ALSO be "Enabled", when you select the "Contact Name" of another Users/Patron.

    Pictorially ...

[ And, please excuse the OLD "Screenshot" ... ]

There are two ways that I know of to "Enable" the "Relationship Viewing":

One is through your "Settings", under the "Permissions" 'Tab', in "FamilySearch".

    Enable Relationship Viewing _ thru _ Settings _ PERMISSIONS Tab _ NEW _ 19 October 2020

The other is when you select the "Contact Name" of a User/Patron who has contributed details to a record.

    Enable Relationship Viewing _ thru _ User_Patron _ 1 of 2

    .

    Enable Relationship Viewing _ thru _ User_Patron _ 2 of 2

    And ...

Here is a "Knowledge Article" in 'FamilySearch'

How do I turn on or off the option to view my relationship to other users?

    https://www.familysearch.org/help/helpcenter/article/how-do-i-turn-on-or-off-the-option-to-view-my-relationship-to-other-users

    https://www.familysearch.org/help/helpcenter/article/how-do-i-turn-on-or-off-the-option-to-view-my-relationship-to-other-users

    I hope this helps.

    Brett

ps: For reasons of, "Privacy"; and, "Security", I would NOT leave "Relationship Viewing"; as, "Enabled" (ie. "On") all the time - ie. Switch it "ON", when required (eg. Requested); and, switch it "OFF", when finished with, at the particular time, when not required.

    By the way ...

Just so that you are aware ...

Normally [ie. when "Relationship Viewing" if OFF, (ie. "Disabled")] ...

OTHER Users/Patrons, are ALREADY able to 'see', the "Deceased" individuals/persons (ie. Ancestors) in your "Ancestral" Lines.

The ONLY thing, that OTHER Users/Patron CANNOT 'see', are ANY of the "Living" individuals/persons (ie. Ancestors) in your "Ancestral" Lines - including yourself.

The reason for that is for, "Privacy"; and, "Security".

The thing that "Relationship Viewing" does, is enable ANOTHER User/Patron, who is ACTUALLY linked/connected to you (in "Family Tree", of 'FamilySearch') through the SAME "Ancestral" Lines, to 'see' how you are connected and related (eg. "Cousin" Relationship).

IF, ANOTHER User/Patron, is NOT actually linked/connected to you (in "Family Tree", of 'FamilySearch'); THEN. the result will be "No Relationship Found".

    Just in passing.

    Brett
