Thank you for providing the batch code,
yes, a registrar is confirming that in a book there are death record of certain people.
Page 214 and 215 have same situation, the numero de partida to index is the first-given during the death of the person(s), and the date to be indexed is the date when the death occurred.
Hope this have answered your question, and thank you for indexing our Guatemala's records.

By using "Reference Images", it migth help to see the previous images and the year of what you are indexing may appear. I send you a help picture :
Click on Reference Images (Imágenes de Referencia), a new image appears after the one you are indexing. To go to the previous images, move by clicking on the red circle.
We hope we have helped you

Can you provide the batch number that you are working on? The batch number is at the end of the batch name and is in brackets. If you can give me the batch number I can look at it and help you resolve what to do with the question on the year.
I will watch for your response.
Thank you!

Thank you for your response. I did check all the record that are before and after and none of those record recorded a year date. The record also do not state a town or place . I was going to try and look for the image in the search record of images so that I could look at the beginning of the book to see what year and what town, but without a town its may in possible . Thank you

Hello zulygifford1
Thank you for indexing records of Guatemala,
If you don't find the place, or year of event : press Ctrl+B to mark the field blank.
Would be great to see the batch code of the project your question refers to, or the URL link to the batch, to help you better.

I'm sorry I didn't not keep the batch code, but I did mark it with Ctrl+B and submit. I will remember to do that next time. I have another question. My next batch M3MW-311 ,004662057_00533 it look like it been rewritten a later date. The record has a new Partida #204 Registration date 8 Oct 1956 and older Partida#425 Registration date 21 Oct 1926. Which one do I use the new or the old one? I was thinking more on the older one #425. What would be you advice.

Of course, there's always the (rare) case where the scribe did not put a year for a long span in the book. I had a batch where the priest put "este ano" in every record, and in the previous 6 pages and succeeding 6 pages never said what that year was.

On your question on batch M3MW-311 I see August dates and not October dates in those two records. I am not very good at Spanish so I have contacted another person that reads Spanish well and she will get back to you on the question on this batch.
Thank you for helping Index. That helps so many find records about their ancestors.

Hello Zuli,
Re batch M3MW-311 ,apologize for the lateness of this answer. For future reference:
What you indexed was correct. You indexed the original partida number, registration and defunction dates.
Partida 425, registered Oct 21 1926, defunction dates Oct 20b1926 for Manuela Tot(?ot).
Partida 426, registered Oct 22b1926, defunction date Oct 14 1926 for Manuela Yaxcal.
These records o Partidas indicate furthermore that another record , ie 425, has a registration and a defunction dates of a deseaced. We would index the original act o partida #, dates when they registered the death, the defunction dates as well names of parents or spouse.
Remember the researcher will se the image if not restricted and would draw their own conlusion.
Thanks again for working on these Gatemala Recors.
