Deleting Relationships in Trees
The one thing I wish to see is that others cannot delete or add relationships to a tree you have built when sources added support the relationship. A User ought to 'email' contact the 'admin or builder of the tree' and leave a message about why they believe a relationship is not accurate. We simply cannot police our family trees all the time. I hear this from many other users too.

I am just another 'lowly' User/Patron ...
I, 'hear'; and, totally understand, what you are saying ...
You are not alone ...
Most of us have ... been there ... done that ... and, still do.
But ...
That Said ...
What you wish, would make the work, in "Family Tree", of 'FamilySearch', that much harder, for us.
Could you imagine WAITING for an "Admin" (or, as you say, "Builder") of a "Tree", to respond ...
And, could you imagine the work for the "Admin" (or, as you say, "Builder") of a "Tree", they would not get their own work done.
Basically, it would make the whole 'nature' and 'premise' of "Family Tree" of 'FamilySearch' unworkable.
And, deep down, we are ALL "Related" ...
There are MANY; Many; many, Users/Patrons, ALL working on the SAME "Ancestral" Lines ...
"Family Tree", of 'FamilySearch', is NOT, Your "Tree"; or, My "Tree", it is Our "Tree", one SINGLE "Tree" ...
Now ...
That Said ...
Here an old 'standby' of mine, that I have previously proffered on occasion ...
------------------
Most new (and, some old) Users/Patrons DO NOT understand the basic 'nature' and 'premise' of "Family Tree" of 'FamilySearch', when they join in.
Please let me explain ...
We do not have our OWN "Tree" in "Family Tree" of 'FamilySearch'.
We ONLY have "Branches" (ie. Ancestral" lines), that are interconnected, in this SINGLE "One" World "Tree", for all of us, that is "Family Tree" of 'FamilySearch'.
"Family Tree" of 'FamilySearch' is NOT like 'On-Line' "Websites" (eg. "Ancestry_com"; or "MyHeritage_com"; or, the like); and/or, 'standalone' personal (computer) programmes (eg, the OLD, now no longer supported, "PAF"; or, "Ancestral Quest"; or, the like).
We DO NOT have "Private"/"Personal" 'Trees' in "Family Tree" of 'FamilySearch' like other 'On-Line' "Websites"; and/or, 'standalone' personal (computer) programmes.
We do not even, own; or, manage; and, are NOT even responsible for, the "Deceased" individuals/persons in "Family Tree" of 'FamilySearch'.
And, most importantly ...
We DO NOT even, own; or, manage; and, are NOT even responsible for, Our OWN "Deceased" Ancestors/Family/Relatives in "Family Tree" of 'FamilySearch'.
"Family Tree" of 'FamilySearch' is built on a "Open Edit" Platform - hence, why any registered User/Patron can "Edit" (ie. Add, Delete; and/or, Change) ANY "Deceased" individual/person in "Family Tree" of 'FamilySearch'.
------------------
Hence ...
That is why ...
[ 1 ]
All that one can really do, is 'Monitor', our "Ancestral" Lines, for 'wayward' CHANGES, by OTHER Users/Patrons.
Nothing more, nothing less ...
We ALL make MISTAKES ...
NONE of us are Perfect ...
As an aside ...
IF, you were not already aware; THEN, ...
In "Family Tree" of "FamilySearch' ...
We have the ability to "Watch" (Oops, sorry, 'old school', "Follow"), up to a MAXIMUM of x4000 individuals/persons, at any given time
Basically ...
It is a matter of "Following" our MOST important Ancestors.
Just to keep on top of any 'wayward' CHANGES.
I check, the "Changes" to those that I "Follow", on a "Daily" Basis; so that, I can keep on top of things.
More often that not, nothing needs to be done; but, at least, I have the opportunity, to be abreast of things; as, they happen/transpire/unfold.
AND ...
[ 2 ]
MANY; Many; many, Users/Patrons, of "Family Tree" of 'FamilySearch', STILL maintain, their OWN Personal (and, often, PRIVATE) "Copy", of their "Ancestral" Lines, in the various OTHER, 'On-Line' Websites; and/or, in the many 'Standalone' Databases.
As such ...
Unfortunately, I very much doubt, that the basic 'nature' and 'premise', of "Family Tree", of 'FamilySearch', will be changing, anytime soon.
I know that this does not help; but, I hope that this gives you some more, insight; and, perspective.

The other major collaborative online trees (Geni and WikiTree) each follow some variation of an open-but-curated model. FamilySearch's Family Tree, in contrast, is fully open: no individual can claim any ownership of any part of the public tree, and almost all profiles marked "deceased" are public.
There are both advantages and disadvantages to FS's model. If its fully-open-edit nature is not your cup of tea, you're free to try one of the curated trees, or switch to one of the individual-tree sites like MyHeritage or Ancestry instead.
