If you would like to phone the Help Center and ask for Indexing - missionaries are always willing to walk you through the steps. Click on the help button on FamilySearch and go to Contact Us. Find your place and phone a number that is in your country and someone should be able to walk you through some of those steps. The Help Center also provides articles to look at to answer some of your questions - click on the Indexing button in the Help Center. Here is a good article that might help as well.

If I remember right, there was an indexing tutorial available to me back before I started indexing that walks you through the basics of how to do it. I'd recommend doing that to help get you started if you can find it.
