Search passenger lists by arrival date

A patron at our FHC asked why we can't search passenger lists by arrival date. For example, the New York Passenger Arrival List (Ellis Island). She felt that would be very helpful, and I have to agree. I worked with her to find an extremely tedious workaround, but having the arrival date field on the search screen would be beneficial.
