Is this record in the Catalog and is there a DGS number beside the record? If so, it means the record has been digitized. All films in the Catalog should now be digitized- the completion of this was announced a few weeks ago. However, a digitized record cannot necessarily be published. The permission of the record owner is required to publish the record. Since this is Italy, I assume you are talking about Catholic records. The Catholic Church has an inconsistently enforced policy that their records are not to be published on FamilySearch. This is because of their opposition to their property being used in connection to Latter Day Saint ordinances.

@rosspulvirenti1 Those records are digital only. As @A van Helsdingen mentioned, a DGS number indicates a digital record.
Since the majority of these records are modern - within the last 100 years - they would likely be under privacy restrictions.

HI do you mean indexed because if they are uploaded to the computer they are digitized.
