Error in New Search Places Drop down list

When I set use the More Options, Advanced Search section and then enter a county in a Place field, As I type the text turns red and I am presented with the county name highlighted in red and a drop-down selection box from which I can choose the correct Standardised Place Name.

If I use the location field to set a location to say England, why is the aforementioned drop-down selection still offering 15 places that are not in England ?

The list should only contain valid data. As soon as the location is set, all place names should be limited to only those in the selected location. This a really basic stuff, surely you can do a lot better.
