Flagging Batch with Problems

I am indexing Obituaries but there is a Marriage announcement included in one of the batches. Is there a way to flag the record and return it? Or shall I just index it under the category of "Other" and continue. I just don't want the results to be cataloged under "Obituaries" for the records searching.

You will just skip over the marriage announcement if it is included on an image with other obituaries. If the Marriage announcement is on an image with no other obituaries, then you would mark the entire image as No, No Extractable Data in Step 1: Images.

    • Per Project Instructions, What to Index, bullet points, 2 and 3, we read: "Index all obituaries, death notices, and funeral programs.
    • Mark all other images, including marriage, anniversary, and birthday newspaper announcements, and reunion notices, in Step 1: Images as No, No Extractable Data."

In other words do not index records other than obituaries, death notices and funeral programs.

Thank you for asking and wanting to do this correctly!
