Why the Random Results
The changes you all have wrought have made searching next to impossible. Among the MANY, MANY other problems with your new interface:
Search results are random and, frankly, idiotic, as if someone had taken multiple cans of paint and just thrown them on a wall. Maybe you wanted blue, but instead you get light green, teal, red, and then, lo and behold, a blue one.
I search for "Amelia von Gerichten." Now, wouldn't you expect that if there were no entry for Amelia von Gerichten, that at least "von Gerichten" names that had a similar first name would be at the top. No more on the new Family Search! Nope, random names that I cannot even pronounce come first. Then, one that says "von Gerichten" finally shows up.
In the past, this was not how searches came back. This has happened over and over again with this new, shoddy, messed up interface. I am on a FB group for genealogy, and people are complaining and complaining about the new interface.
As a rule, I mostly get results that are not remotely close to what I am looking for. A month ago, it was not this way.
