I am compiling my family tree and I happened to by mistake come across incorrect names and would like to delete them and add the actual ones.
Since FamilyTree is one single tree shared by all users and even when you see a record that is connected to the wrong family, those records can usually not be deleted since they very likely do belong to. someone's family and if they were actually deleted, there likely would be a number of folks that would be very upset and possibly even more than upset. In Family Tree, it is recommended that incorrect people be removed from the relationship rather than deleted.
The links here describe the processes involved with removing children and spouses from incorrect relationships.
If you need help correcting other information in records, the Help Center is an excellent resource.

I would appreciate any help. Thank you!
You are able to use the Delete Person in the TOOLS section of a person's details page - but only if you are the only one who entered or made any changes to that person
We think what you need to do is to remove the relationship between the names you see who do not belong to your family names.
