My aunt recently passed away. How do we get her Family Search account marked as deceased?
My aunt recently passed away. How do we get her Family Search account marked as deceased? She has lived in the same place for forty years. Her daughter moved her in May to a nursing home in Boise, Idaho. I talked with a friend of my aunts who lives in the same ward my aunt lived in for years. She talked to the ward clerk, but he said her records were not there any more. My cousin is not active, but my aunt was very active and had a Family Search account. My aunt's friend suggested I write to Family Search. I have her account number, a letter showing her death date, and a picture of the grave side service. Who do I contact to get this fixed? My aunt had many pictures she had uploaded on her account so we would really like this available to view.

Hello @Toni E Norman
I'm sorry for your recent loss.
If the Ward Clerk is unable to your Aunt's Membership record with her death, then FamilySearch can notify Membership. We need proof of your Aunt's death to do so.
I will send you a private message. Look up to the right hand side corner of the screen to the small envelope for the message in a moment.
Once Membership have been notified of your Aunt's death, a new record for her will appear in FamilySearch. Then you can merge the duplicate records for your Aunt.
Best regards
