My first grandmother died before I was born. My grandfather remarried but I don't know Where or How to add her. Please help; this is all new to me!

    @AliceRowe2

    To add a different spouse, go to the Details page of the individual needing another spouse, scroll down to the Family Members section and click "Add Spouse".

    Hope the article suggested in the last posting fully answered your question.

    This issue often generates questions, and these may have been answered previously. Just a tip to save you some time......before posting a question, it may be helpful to you to check if this topic has been addressed previously - You can add keywords (in this case 'second wife' or 'add second marriage' ) to the search bar, and other similarly themed questions will appear and may provide you with a quicker answer.

    Hope this helps.

    You stated that you are new to this. Welcome to a very enriching life of finding your ancestors. I would suggest that you use the tips that FamilySearch.org shows on how to get started, etc. Go to the top banner, click open Family Tree and click overview. There is a lot of information on how to use FamilySearch. Another good place to learn about doing genealogy is RootsTech. They have many videos to help you get started. https://www.familysearch.org/rootstech/rtc2021/

    Hello @AliceRowe2,

    Along with the suggestions above, I like to tell people who are just starting out in FamilySearch about https://thefhguide.com/index.html. This is a site that will teach you how to use FamilySearch as well as other genealogical sites you may be interested in.

    Also, The FamilySearch Help Center helps you use our website and mobile apps and teaches you how to do genealogical research.

    • Click on the small question mark in the upper right of your screen.
    • Click on Help Center at the bottom of the pop-up window.
    • Click on a topic icon to see frequently asked questions or type a couple of key words in the search bar to find an article about what you want.
