How do I merge these?
My daughter (age 14) has her own FamilySearch login. I'm not sure how it all got set up, but her family tree is different than mine. It has her, my husband and I and our parents all listed, but all of the Index Numbers are wrong. I have tried several times through either her account or mine to merge her people with the correct ones on my tree, but it won't let me. When I try to merge by the ID numbers, it always pulls up one person as 'unknown name' with no info and won't let me merge anything. Help!!

Hello @FronkTeriLyn1,
Thank you for this question about how to merge living persons.
- For privacy purposes, these records cannot be merged until a person passes away.
- Any living people you add to your account will show a different Person ID numbers from those added by your daughter to her account.
- Living people are not searchable.

I hope this helps with your question.

@FronkTeriLyn1 , what you see is normal and expected, not any kind of problem. The Family Tree person IDs are unimportant, and of course you all have different person IDs for each other, since each page in your private tree space is a duplicate.
