My 2nd great grandmother, Elizabeth Bird 19 October 1815 – 18 May 1896 • KWJF-1T1 was born in England.  She married John Cushing in England in 1836. John and Elizabeth and their youngest daughter, Laura, immigrated from England to the US and to Utah in 1874.  Elizabeth is listed in Family Tree (FT) with an Endowment in Sep 1875, in the Endowment House. But her baptism date, listed in FT, is 1999, more than 100 years after her death. Likely she was baptized in England before immigrating in 1874, and surely she was baptized before she was endowed in 1875. How can we get the earlier baptism date to appear in FT? In her Memories, there is a Story, Incidents in the life of Laura Cushing, written in 1933 by Laura Cushing. Laura was born October 1853. In that story, it says: My dear Mother was baptized into the LDS Church shortly before I was born. So the baptism date for Elizabeth should be in 1853.

Thank you Bryan for your excellent work, in restoring the original baptism dates for Elizabeth Bird 19 October 1815 – 18 May 1896 • KWJF-1T1, and for her daughter Laura. Both of those baptisms occurred in England. Where did you find those dates? Is there a data base that is perhaps available to us common folk? If there was such a data base, and if we could access it, would we then have the privileges to find other early baptism dates, and update those dates in Family Tree (FT)? How does this work? Laura had five older siblings who likely had early LDS baptisms in England, but all of those have proxy baptism dates in FT after their death.  Their likely baptism dates in England would have been after the mother’s baptism in 1853, and before the baptism of Laura in 1862.  Two of those siblings, sisters, married in England, and died while crossing the plains, in 1864 and 1866. I noticed that the baptism date for Laura, when I look at her Person Page, lists June 1862. But when I look at the FG sheets where Laura is listed, it gives the full date, 1 Jun 1862.
