I am indexing enrolment records for 1918 and the roll has individuals who were transferred out of the unit previous to the report date on the roll. Do I include those names when indexing this report? And If so how do I treat the date field.

@cbailey3863510 . Yes, you do include them, but to answer the date question it is important to see your batch. Would you please post the Share Batch code for your batch? This is the set of letters and numbers at the end of your Batch name inside the square brackets [XXXX-XXX].

    Hi cbailey3863510

    • The project instructions say: When multiple dates are present on the image, please choose the military date based on the following hierarchy:
    1. Enlistment date
    2. Muster roll or monthly roster date
    3. Any other applicable military date
    • If there is a transfer record and each name has a day, such as "24th," or month or year, and there is a complete date recorded at the top or bottom of the page, use the complete date for each person on the record.

so unless the Losses list includes an enlistment date which they normally do not, the date for the losses entries would be the same as for the rest of the roll which is normally found at the top of the page.

    Hope this is helpful.
