Search> Records Query API? OR Minimal Functional (Search> Records: More Options) Profiles setting

Would it be appropriate to discuss how to 'build' properly formed FamilySearch Search> Records queries?

Anyone can look at the query strings in the URL of the Search parameters they input and get a 'general' idea of what fields correspond to which strings.

Of course for this to be smooth would require FamilySearch cooperation - so I am just asking if it would be appropriate for FamilySearch Community to consider this type of option?

I realize there are already 3rd party FamilySearch Solutions which can already query the Tree - but are there any that query Search> Records? If there is - I am not seeing it. Understandably so due to licensing of various collections. But all this app would do is build a search query URL and hand it over to the FamilySearch Search> Records.

Advantage: Allow users to create queries in a minimal but functional interface.

Disadvantage: Development. But could be a Community project if there is enough expertise/cooperation with FamilySearch.

OR

Since the More Options is essentially the current 'minimal' Search corresponding to the previous 'old Search' interface - could users be allowed the option to 'set' this view rather than the current default Search> Records?
