Can indexing results be moved retroactively to a previously formed group?

Our stake gave a challenge to the AP and Young Women to do 3,000 records by the end of the year. Some youth did indexing as usual not knowing that a special group had been formed where the indexing should have been done. Can the youth who did that indexing move their results to the special group?

That can not be done through the Indexing groups. They start the statistics as soon as the indexer joins the group. It is great that they did that indexing work which is the important thing to remember.
