Do others find the new interface as horrible as I do?

I hate the new interface. Information is no longer comparable between hits. I have to scroll forever, and then scroll back to see if one hit is more likely than another. While the old interface did need some help, particularly on the search parameters, the new one is worse in that regard too. It would be nice to have all the search parameters listed one over the other, not spread out left to right.

Did anyone beta test this? It now takes more time to go through information than before. Also, when I am just searching one database (like one census), I cannot find that information on the hits list, like before.

The upgrade looks pretty, but pretty does not cut it when it is information that I need to find.

Am I alone in disliking the arrangement?

    Dear Pamela,

Please use the feedback function located on the right side of the screen to express your concerns. that way they go directly to the engineers. Thank you.

I absolutely HATE the new search interface. It is one of the worse I have used on all sites in which I do my research. Makes me want to not use Family Search all that much. Please change it back!

Agree with both. Liked the older interface because it was simple, able to do quick searches, and can search single databases. After doing online research for about 18 years, I have seen a lot of 'modernization' but unfortunately these new user interface 'improvements' degrades functionality--seen this not only on this site but also other major genealogy sites, e.g. Ancestry.com, Newspapers.com, GenealogyBank.com... Almost easier to go back to microfiche readers.

Agree 100% - New Interface - It's hard enough to teach members how to use FamilySearch but once you do and the interface changes most just give up. At my age (74) I am okay with adding new tools but not changing the interface. Older was better.
