What is ADM Treat As Member?

In the drop down of my name, where it shows "Settings," "Source Box," and "Sign Out," it also has "ADM Treat As Member." What is ADM Treat as Member?

    Betty

    Welcome to the "Community.FamilySearch" Forum.

    I am just another 'lowly' User/Patron ...

[ And, I happend to be a Member of the Church ... ]

    Just in passing ...

I am 'going out on a limb', here ...

I would humbly suggest, that this MAY relate to the SEPERATION (ie. being NO LONGER linked together) of the two (x2) Accounts; being, a 'Church Member' Account; and, a 'FamilySearch' Account; specifically, for Users/Patrons, who are Members of the Church.

Here is a "Knowledge Article" in 'FamilySearch':

    FamilySearch and Church Account Split

    https://www.familysearch.org/help/helpcenter/article/familysearch-and-church-account-split

    https://www.familysearch.org/help/helpcenter/article/familysearch-and-church-account-split

    And ...

Here is another indication, when a User/Patron, who is a member of the Church, goes to "Edit", their "Name" details, in the "Settings" of their 'FamilySearch' Account.

CHURCH Account and FamilySearch Account NO LONGER share the SAME Username and Password _ 25 September 2021 _ 0 _ Just Noticed.jpg

    I hope this helps.

    Brett

ps: That ... ADM Treat As Member ... possibly, being; to recognise the User/Patron; as, a Member of the Church

ps: But ... who knows ...

pps: That is possibly NOT supposed to be 'seen', by the likes of us 'lowly' Users/Patrons ...

What is "ADM Treat as Member" in the drop down box as you sign out?

As i signed out yesterday, I noticed a new button at the bottom of the sign out drop down box. It is just under the sign out button that reads "ADM Treat as Member". Is this something new? What will it be used for?

I'm not LDS, and I'm seeing it, too.

Has anyone tried selecting it? What does it do?

    Julie

    FYI

Yes, I have, on BOTH, my Accounts ...

[ie. (1) As a Member of Church; and, (2) For Testing/Training (As a non-member of the Church) ]

Same, Same ... on BOTH Accounts ...

    And ...

Very interesting when one goes through a few things ...

I did try selecting it and it brings up my home screen but it doesn't let you do anything. When i clicked on my tree it gave me the message, "This persons PID cannot be found" message. So when I click out of it it ask me if I wanted to leave the members role.

    It has GONE now ...

As I thought, that was possibly NOT supposed to be 'seen', by the likes of us 'lowly' Users/Patrons ...
